Thank you for your interest in a possible volunteer, intern or affiliate relationship with the Center for Nonprofit Management. Established in 1979 by the corporate and foundation community, the Center helps nonprofit organizations more effectively fulfill their missions by providing the highest quality professional management information, education, training, and consulting services.
A variety of volunteering opportunities are available at the Center, including:
Affiliate Program
Management Seminar Presenter
Over 150 professionals volunteer time in their areas of expertise to deliver our quarterly series of management seminars. You can be one too.

Affiliate Consultant
A strong cadre of nonprofit consultants, who may serve as subcontractors and/or as direct referrals, adds impressive depth to the Center's ability to provide objective, current, and creative options for expanding organizational capabilities and problem solving.

Intern-Volunteer Program
Interns
Individuals associated with a college or university. Interns are generally not paid other than by course credit, but may occasionally work for a stipend if funding is available. These are individuals involved in a professional education but are not fully certified in their field. We strongly encourage students in Library & Information Science and Public Policy programs to apply.

Volunteers
Individuals may exchange their volunteer time for CNM Seminars and entrance into CNM-hosted special events. Volunteer projects generally include basic copying, filing, and word processing, although more sophisticated and interesting projects may be available depending on the volunteers' qualifications and the Center's needs.

After we review your application, if we think your skills might be a match for the projects that we have available, we will contact you to schedule an interview. Your application will be kept on file with the Center for approximately two years after it is submitted. If work becomes available that fits your experience and interests, we will contact you.
