The California Cultural and Historical Endowment is a part of the California State Library. The Endowment has $122 million for competitive grants for projects that preserve the physical and cultural history and folklife of the many groups of people that comprise historic and modern California. One of the main purposes of the Endowment is to tell the story of California as a unified society.
