Great News for Southern California Nonprofits!

NPower Los Angeles, the Center for Nonprofit Management’s technology support program, has partnered with the Verizon Foundation to provide scholarships for our technology training seminars throughout 2005. A limited number of scholarships will be available for any of our technology seminars. To apply for a Verizon scholarship, click on the link for the seminar below and submit a Verizon Scholarship Application Form (PDF file) along with the Center’s standard Seminar Registration Form (PDF file).

Terms and Conditions

Am I eligible?

  • While we are excited to extend the Verizon Scholarship for all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, priority will be given to small to mid-sized organizations with an annual operating budget less than $500,000.
  • To provide scholarship access to a variety of nonprofits, there is a limit of 3 scholarships per quarter per organization. Please plan accordingly when applying for Verizon-sponsored seminars.

Scholarship application and class withdrawal

You must submit a Verizon Scholarship Application Form along with the Center’s Standard Seminar Registration Form at least two weeks prior to the date of the seminar.

  • By registering for the seminar and requesting a scholarship, you are making a commitment to pay for the seminar whether you receive the Verizon scholarship or not.
  • You will be notified within 5 business days upon receipt of your Verizon Scholarship application.
  • If you do NOT receive a Verizon scholarship and cannot pay for the seminar without it, you must withdraw from the seminar no less than 5 business days. A $10 processing fee will be applied.

If awarded a Verizon scholarship for a Seminar

The Center’s standard seminar registration policy applies for all Verizon-sponsored seminars.

  • You must notify the Center at least 5 business days before the date of the seminar to cancel or reschedule. A $10 processing fee will be charged to the organization.
  • No cancellations will be honored less than 5 days before the date of the seminar. In this event, your organization will be charged the full cost of the seminar ($125 for a full-day seminar, $100 for a half-day seminar).
  • Scholarships are student-specific. We cannot transfer scholarships to other members of your organization. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
