Course Description
Management is an exciting and challenging process.  This session will review the basic principles of management (Management 101) and their application in managing an organization.  The basic principles include planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and controlling.  These will be reviewed and applied in various organizational settings.  Case histories will be used to provide actual examples.  This seminar will be beneficial for both entry level and top-level managers.

Instructor's Bio:
Don Cook is an independent consultant serving clients nationally. He is currently running a non-profit cancer prevention and screening center in LA under contract. He has spent his entire career in the non-profit sector as a teacher, institutional manager and as a management consultant. As a partner with Booz, Allen & Hamilton for 9 years, he conducted many major public policy studies for federal, state and local government agencies and major public and non-profit institutions.
