Course Description:
If you are like most Executive Directors, you constantly hear that the solution is to get your board to fundraise. But what is the reality, given board member reluctance? How do you motivate them? This seminar presents practical strategies for what you can do as an Executive Director to transform your board into one that accepts their fundraising responsibility, develops the necessary skills and has the appropriate access for success.

Instructor's Bio:
Eldon Baber is an independent consultant specializing in the areas of nonprofit management, fundraising, and board development. He has over twenty years of nonprofit experience including serving as the Director for the Nonprofit Resource Center in Orange and as the Executive Director for a statewide voluntary health organization in Texas. He has developed and managed programs funded through federal, state and local government grants, United Way, and multiple private foundation sponsored programs. His background includes work in direct services advocacy and political action organizations as well as serving as a part-time faculty member for California State University, Long Beach, and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Eldon is currently teaching at UC Riverside in its nonprofit management program.
