Course Description:
This seminar provides an overview of the key requirements for building and maintaining an effective nonprofit Board of Directors.  The focus is on maximizing the capabilities of the Board by defining best practices and building a strong leadership alliance with the Executive Director.  Topics include board roles and responsibilities, composition, committee structure and effective meeting management. Target audience: Board members and Executive Directors.


Instructor's Bio:
Dr. Kim Williams (www.DrKimWilliams.com) provides management consulting services to nonprofit executives who are embarking on performance improvement initiatives. Services include strategic planning, Board development, change management, and executive transition. Dr. Williams’ expertise as a management consultant is based on twenty years experience as an educator, nonprofit executive and small business owner.
