Course Description
This seminar is designed to help participants polish their presentation skills and become more confident in their ability to communicate and present themselves, their ideas, and their organizations effectively.  Topics include methods of preparation and practice, techniques of delivery, and use of simple visual materials. 

Instructor's Bio:
Mary G. Russell brings over seven years of human resources consulting experience, and 20+ years of hands-on, Human Resources expertise working for premier organizations such as Portals Mental Health & Rehabilitation Services, Fox Entertainment Group, Baxter Healthcare, Aratex, Washington Inventory Service, and Church's Fried Chicken.

As a human resources consultant she provides full Human Resources generalist support to nonprofit and small to mid-sized companies performing such duties as building an HR infrastructure, ensuring compliance of personnel files and immigration procedures, writing employee handbooks and ADA job descriptions, administering benefits and workers' comp program, providing counsel and guidance to senior management teams, and more.

As a trainer, she has conducted sessions on "Executive Presentation," "How to Improve Your Interpersonal Relationships," "Interviewing & Recruiting Techniques," "Workplace Harassment Prevention," "Fundamental Skills of Managing People," and other programs for organizations whose industries include education, law enforcement, banking, nonprofit and more. As part of her private practice, she coaches individuals on the interview process, and provides a resume writing service.

She has served as Co-Chair on the Business Advisory Council for IAM CARES (International Association of Machinist Center for Administering Rehabilitation and Employment Services) and a former member of the Sunshine Board for PATH (People Assisting the Homeless). Mary received a certificate of special Congressional recognition for your contribution to the community by assisting individuals with disabilities. She was selected for both Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges & Universities and Who's Who of Executive Women. She taught a six week course on Human Resources Management Practices at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA.

Mary is an avid supporter and member of Toastmasters International, where she currently serves in one of the highest leadership roles for District ONE, serving more than 113 clubs with approximately 2,000 + members. Through Toastmasters she has received the highest communication designation of "Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM)".

Mary will be partnering with the State California Chamber of Commerce to consult with their 16,000 membership base if and when needed.
