Course Description:
This seminar describes the organization and planning necessary to cultivate lead donors and obtain major contributions for a one-time Capital Campaign with a goal of $1 million to $50 million.  This workshop will help you: define goals for your Capital Campaign; take the necessary advance steps to prepare for a campaign; understand the role of a feasibility study; develop a case statement; organize the various components of the Capital Campaign; share new tips to empower volunteer leadership; define the committee structure needed to manage the capital project; and assess if you are ready to go public with a Capital Campaign.

Instructor's bio:
Sandi Goldstein is the founder of The Goldstein Group, a consulting firm devoted to strengthening nonprofit organizations through successful capital and endowment campaigns, strategic business plans, and executive coaching.  Drawing upon 10 years as the CEO of a mid-size Jewish Federation and Foundation, as well as 20 years experience in soliciting major gifts, Sandi’s capital campaign achievements include:  a $12 million community center in Long Beach; a $36 million private school in San Diego;  an $80 million land acquisition plan for the Bolsa Chica in Orange County;  and several synagogue and Jewish campus capital campaigns, ranging from $2 to $16 million.  Sandi is a graduate of UC, Davis and holds a Masters in Community Organization (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve, Cleveland, Ohio.
