Course Description:
This workshop will review new laws from the last 18 months and upcoming laws in 2008 that may affect your organization. Topics range from the increase in California 's minimum wage rate to the IRS' standard mileage rate to 2008 cell phone restriction. The instructor will also cover areas of noncompliance for nonprofits: exemption classification, overtime and the responsibilities of the Board for reviewing and approving the compensation and benefits for senior executives. Leave informed about changed regulations to the employment arena.
