Description: This seminar will provide participants with a basic overview of the evaluation process. One topic covered in some depth will be survey development. The seminar will define key evaluation terms, and cover the following topics: How evaluation fits into an overall program (including development of outcomes, performance measures and logic models); evaluation tools and methods; and sharing evaluation results with key stakeholders to achieve ongoing program improvement. Participants in this seminar will learn enough about the evaluation process to be able to work effectively with evaluation professionals and understand various aspects of their work and products. For participants with some knowledge of the evaluation process, the seminar will represent a valuable review, with perhaps some new information covered.
Instructor's
bio:
Susan Forman is a principal of Forman Consulting, specializing in management consulting services for nonprofit and public sector organizations. She has fifteen years of experience assisting clients with their management and organizational needs. Prior to starting Forman Consulting, Ms. Forman was with KPMG Peat Marwick, an international management consulting firm. In her career, Ms. Forman has also served as an evaluator at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, a legislative branch Agency reporting to the U.S. Congress.
Ms. Forman holds a Master of Science degree in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, cum laude, from the University of Southern California. She also holds a certificate in Leadership from Leadership Long Beach and is co-chair of a Subcommittee of the Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.
Ms. Forman has completed numerous projects for nonprofit organizations as well as local, state and federal agencies.
