Course Description
This workshop is filled with "how-to" instruction, grant proposal samples, and classroom exercises that will build skills to demystify proposal writing. Suitable for new and experienced grantwriters, topics include: preparing yourself to be a successful proposal writer, outlining the basics of proposal development, writing the key components of a proposal, positioning your organization to be successful in the grantsmanship arena, strategizing your proposal for enhanced funding and researching funding sources that are most likely to award a grant. You will also receive information on government funding sources, foundations and corporate funders that are actively giving right now and are suitable for your service interest. Participants will come away with an "I Can Do It" attitude and the tools to be a successful proposal writer. Grantsmanship workbook (300+ pages) included in seminar fee.
Instructor's Bio:
Carol Geisbauer served as executive director for two nonprofit
organizations for 16 years and then served as the Director
of the Nonprofit Resource Center in Orange County for two
years. She now works in private practice as a professional
grantwriter. She has trained over 1,000 nonprofit organization
staff and volunteers in Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside
counties to become successful in the practice of grantsmanship.
