Course Description
One of the greatest challenges confronting
Los Angeles
based nonprofit organizations is the continuing decline of available
government funding for safety net services administered by thousands of
community based organizations. In addition, foundations located within
the
Los Angeles
region
are unable and unwilling to supplant government funding reductions
experienced by many area nonprofits. This seminar discusses and
analyzes the turbulent landscape of the availability of critically
needed funding and will evaluate and address the root causes,
contributors and trigger events that negatively impact the funding
availability of needed resources for nonprofit organizations located in
Los Angeles County.
Suggested attendees:
Faith-based organizations, small –midsize nonprofit organizations, and
groups considering starting their own nonprofit organization.
