The
library's focus is to help grantseekers identify and research potential
funding sources and develop effective proposals. It also houses
resources that inform nonprofit managers and assist them in their
tasks. Besides having funding and management textual information, the
library also has 4 computer terminals with connections to databases
such as FC Search, where grantseekers can research foundations and
their giving history in order to develop their funding search.
The collection is focused on the funding and management of nonprofit
organizations. There are very limited resources pertaining to
individuals and no resources pertaining to for-profit businesses.
The Center for Nonprofit Management, in partnership with California Community Foundation and Community Partners, opened the Nonprofit Resource Library in July 1998.
Thanks to the S. Mark Taper Foundation,
we renovated our Nonprofit Resource Library and training room and built
a new computer lab to support technology training for nonprofits. See
photos of the S. Mark Taper Education and Training Suite.
