Course Description

Welcome to the ‘New Normal’: Moving Forward in the Grant Profession
The American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) Southern California Chapter, in partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Management, presents a one-day conference Welcome to the ‘New Normal’: Moving Forward in the Grant Profession.   The world has changed tremendously in just the last 18 months and we all need to stay abreast of the current and projected impact of the economy, emerging trends, and effective practices.  This day of interactive workshops for grant professionals will offer practical tools and advice on evaluation, budgeting, collaboration, developing a grant consulting business and more.  Participants will hear foundation and government funders’ perspectives about conducting business during this period called the ‘New Normal.’

You will also learn about the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), an AAGP affiliate 501(c) (3) that developed and administers the field’s first psychometric certification program dedicated to the identification of grant professionals who display outstanding expertise and ethical practices. The American Association of Grant Professionals, a nonprofit membership association, is the premier national professional organization representing the needs and concerns of grant professionals.  AAGP builds and supports an international community of grant professionals in education, government, the nonprofit sector and private enterprise.
