Course Description
Lots of billsThe type of funding that nonprofit agencies need the most is funding for general operating support, sometimes called core operating support.  Unfortunately, there is no one single source or method for raising these funds.  This workshop will cover all the different ways to raise funds for general operating support including:

* Calculating how much money you need in your agency for
   general operating costs
* Redefining what constitutes a "general operating cost"
* Grants for general operating costs (some)
* How to put together a plan to cover general operating costs

If possible, participants should bring a copy of their agency budget or audit.
