Are you effectively reaching out to them 2-4 times a year? Are you actively cultivating new donors? In this seminar, we will examine how to plan a clever individual giving campaign that will maximize your income, with very little work on your part. Topics will include: * Web donations vs. snail mail * How to identify donors * The painless "ask" * Following up * Re-asking At the end of this seminar you will have written your letter, designed the attachments and begun to create your donor list.
Instructor's Bio Scott Cargle is a consultant specializing in fundraising, business development and grant writing for arts and education organizations. In New York, he was the Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Project, which presented large-scale outdoor productions, free in parks all over New York City. Over a 12 year period, he grew the budget from $800 to $400,000, with nearly 95% coming from unearned revenue. He has served on grant making panels, including NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, NY Times Foundation, and NY Foundation for the Arts. He was also honored to serve on the board of directors for the Alliance of Resident Theatres/NY from 2003-2005.
