Course Description This seminar provides an overview of the major elements involved in building and maintaining an effective nonprofit board of directors. The focus is on maximizing the capabilities of the board. Topics include board roles and responsibilities, composition, committee structure and board/staff relations and effective meeting management.
Instructor's Bio Mike Hoff is an independent consultant who has a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector. Mike is the former Director of Consulting Services at the Center for Nonprofit Management. He is also a former nonprofit executive director, university faculty member and corporate organizational development manager. His consulting expertise includes organization, board, and staff development, strategic planning, change management, team development, and performance assessment.
