Course Description In this seminar designed for senior staff people and board members participants will discuss a range of styles for mission statement language and do some hands-on work refining their own mission statements. Questions to be discussed include: • What is a mission statement and are they necessary? • How does a mission statement differ from a vision statement? • Who should be involved with writing a Mission Statement? • What should be included in a Mission Statement? • When is the best time to focus on reviewing, rewriting or writing a mission statement? Participants should bring a copy of their organization’s mission statement to read and revise.
Instructor's Bio Mary G. Russell is President and Founder of The Grady Group, a human resources company located in Temple City, CA. She brings over eight years of consulting experience and 20+ years of hands on working experience in the area of human resources. Mary has worked for premier organizations such as Portals Mental Health & Rehabilitations Services, Fox Entertainment Group, Baxter Healthcare and others. As a consultant, her primary services involve auditing, revamping and building Human Resources departments.
