NOTE: This seminar has been CANCELLED. We apologize for the inconvenience. Course Description Since January 1, 2006, all supervisors must complete two hours of sexual harassment training. Any employee who is hired or promoted into a supervisory role must be trained within six months of assuming that position. Ongoing training for supervisors must occur every two years. It's required by law (AB 1825)! This seminar will provide the training necessary to meet the new federal requirement as well as address a variety of other important legal issues to help avoid or limit liability. Topics include: • Legal definitions of sexual harassment • Responsibilities of managers and supervisors • Conducting investigations • The importance of a written policy and maintaining follow-up records All management staff and Board members are strongly encouraged to attend.
Instructor's Bio Roz Teller is a general partner in the management consulting firm of Teller Associates, which has been assisting organizations to develop their human resources since 1980. They specialize in helping managers, supervisors, and employees to develop the management and human relations skills needed to succeed in rapidly changing environments. A former New Yorker, Roz received her B.A. from Brooklyn College and her Masters from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Roz has designed and conducted over a thousand workshops across the country and is listed in Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in American Women, and the International Who’s Who of Professional and Business Women. She is a member of the boards of directors of Barlow Respiratory Hospital and the Mary Magdalene Project.
