Unfortunately, this seminar has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience. Course Description In many nonprofits, staff members often find themselves involved in fundraising without any prior experience. If you are one of these “accidental fundraisers” the key to success is in doing your homework before approaching donors. This seminar will help you to ask the right questions and prepare you to: • Answer the “So what?” question—what would be missing or undone if your organization wasn’t around? • Create a case statement • Ascertain what fundraising vehicles are the most appropriate for your primary fundraising targets and how to determine the best ones for your constituents and programs • Determine your organization’s barriers and your own—money issues, lack of skills, resistance to making and carrying out plans • Create a development plan
Instructor's Bio Marta Segura is the Principal Consultant and founder of the Grassroots Organizational & Leadership Development consultancy. In this role, she endeavors to provide the local Latino nonprofit sector with tools to identify issues, reflect, plan and act upon their own priorities and to create sustainable community change through improved internal systems and infrastructure and much needed policy change.
