NOTE: Center Associates receive a 10% discount. Course Description If you enjoy writing grant proposals, you have probably wondered: "Could I quit my job, do this full time and make a living?" The answer is: "Maybe." This seminar will cover the elements of developing a successful home-based business as a freelance grantwriter. You will evaluate yourself based on a list of "criteria for success" to determine if you are ready to begin. You will learn about marketing, interviewing, developing a contract or letter of agreement, pricing, billing, scheduling and managing multiple projects. If you really like the process of grantwriting, working as a freelance grantwriter is a wonderful way to contribute to the development and success of many nonprofit agencies. Note: Attendance is limited to those with a minimum of three years of experience as a working grantwriter.
Instructor's Bio Carol Geisbauer served as executive director of two nonprofit organizations for 16 years and then served as the Director of the Nonprofit Resource Center in Orange County for two years. She now works in private practice as a professional grantwriter. She has trained over 1,000 nonprofit organization staff and volunteers in Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties to become successful in the practice of grantsmanship.
