NOTE: This seminar has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience. Course Description This seminar will teach you the basics of using the free Google Earth mapping software. Attendees will learn how to import their agency’s address data into Google Earth and combine it with other freely available data. Participants will learn how mapping with Google Earth will allow them to: • Identify and respond deliberately to community needs • Facilitate strategic planning • Address gaps in services Attendees are encouraged to bring their agency’s address data (donor, client, and site addresses for example) for use in the hands-on portion of the workshop. Limited to 14 participants.
Instructor's Bio Michael Gechter is Chief Technical Officer at Idealistics, a social enterprise that uses technological solutions to help social service agencies help their clients. He oversees data analysis projects at Idealistics, focusing on the areas of organizational outcomes, community needs assessment, and gaps analysis using GIS mapping and regression analysis techniques.
