Instructor: Scott Cargle Please note this seminar was originally titled "Enhanced Strategies for Fundraising" Course Description In the early 1990s, New York City was in the throes of a recession. While many large nonprofit organizations were closing, a group of feisty emerging theatre companies blossomed and grew. Many have now become institutions themselves. Fundraising consultant Scott Cargle (who was part of that merry band) leads this half-day session, sharing strategies that helped cultivate and secure funding when money was scarce.
Learn creative ways of turning a crisis into an opportunity. Explore techniques for: - - Securing funding from foundations that do not accept proposals
- - Creative ways to approach businesses for donations of cash, goods and in-kind services
- - Simple techniques for maximizing your base of individual donors
And learn the three magic words that make it easy to ask for money from anyone.
