Instructor: Carlos Ramirez Course Description Want to know more about finding grants but don't know where to begin? Attend this seminar developed by the Center for Nonprofit Management and learn from the experts! Beneficial for beginning grantseekers who are brand new to the world of philanthropy, this session will introduce you to the philanthropy landscape and provide you with the resources to take your grant-seeking research to the next level. This session provides key information and definitions from the world of philanthropy; elements that should be in place before grantseeking; and how to identify funding partners. Instructor's Bio Carlos Ramirez is the Education Coordinator at the Center for Nonprofit Management. He oversees the education program logistics which include weekly seminars, customized trainings and larger sector gatherings. During his time at the Center he has also managed the Nonprofit Resource Library, taught a seminar on grantseeking databases and managed local and international volunteers.
He received his BA from Williams College where he studied comparative literature. While in school he interned in the Office of Congressman Xavier Becerra and the Getty Foundation.
