Course Description
This seminar will describe, contrast, and simplify two organizational planning tools that are critical to the non-profit challenge of delivering impactful services and programs to growing numbers of people within this new economy. Though driven primarily by business, these strategies and models can be tailored to the unique requirements of the non-profit sector. After attending this session and learning to use these tools, you will:
•    Help your stakeholders understand the organization more clearly;
•    Link and synchronize organizational activities in a more efficient manner;
•    Foster innovative approaches throughout your organization;
•    Continue to maintain a focus on your core mission.

Instructor's Bio
Steve Moya is Senior Strategist for Evolution Health Strategies, a Los Angeles based healthcare marketing and communication firm, and has a similar role with Santiago ROI, a consulting company that designs Hispanic marketing strategies for U. S. corporations. He also assists numerous non-profits in the development of strategy and organizational models to advance growth in the new economy.

Prior to joining these firms he was Senior-Vice President and Chief Marketing officer for Humana, Inc. a Fortune 100 health benefits company, responsible for marketing, corporate communications and government relations and actively involved in corporate strategy development.
Before joining Humana he was Vice-President of Strategic Planning and Communications for Austin-based LatinWorks Marketing and a principal with Growth Strategies Consulting, a macro-market planning company that used trend analysis to build business strategy. To both of these positions he brought twenty years of communication and critical-analysis expertise to assist businesses with managing change and leveraging information for growth.
Earlier in his career he founded Moya, Villanueva & Associates, a public relations firm that provided communication strategy in the areas of corporate and Hispanic communications, marketing and public affairs. Recognized as a business leader in the Hispanic community, he built one of the largest and most respected ethnic public relations firms in the country which was sold to Manning, Selvage and Lee, an international communications company where he served as a Senior-Vice President.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Affairs from the University of Southern California and completed graduate level-course work in urban planning at Virginia Tech.
He lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife Rita.
