Instructor: Lewis Sharpstone Course Description Your budget serves as a road map for your programs. This seminar covers budgeting theory and includes a budgeting exercise. Topics also include types of budgets and their uses; departmental and organizational budgets; the relationship of budgeting to planning; and how to identify, monitor and control program-related costs. Please bring either a handheld calculator or laptop computer to class. Instructor's Bio Lewis Sharpstone, CPA, is partner in charge of the nonprofit services division of Singer, Lewak, Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP. He has extensive experience working with nonprofit organizations and has served on several boards, including the board of the Center for Nonprofit Management. Lewis has instructed this and other seminars at the Center since 1991. |
