Course Description
Are you responsible for reports, correspondence and memos? Do you find that you can inspire people when you speak, but your written communication is littered with typos and full of dangling participles and incongruous phrases? In this workshop you will explore how to: get started when you are stuck; convey your message in active, jargon-free language; refine your message for different audiences; and edit your work quickly. You will participate in active writing exercises. Please bring work-related writing samples.

Instructor's Bio
Steve Damiano is Director of Education for the Center for Nonprofit Management. He has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit management and more than seven years experience as managing editor of various business publications covering marketing, advertising, and radio/television. He has written newsletters, promotional brochures, recruitment letters and direct mail pieces for a wide variety of nonprofits across the country.
