Course Description
Have your bylaws been reviewed by an attorney within the last three years?  If not, this seminar is for you. Since many nonprofit corporations were formed, the state legislature has revised laws governing bylaw requirements several times.  Bylaws conflicting with the nonprofit code are superseded by state laws; bylaws that do not have certain provisions are also controlled by the code. Topics include:
* Officer and board member responsibilities
* The scope of committees
* Differences between membership and non-membership nonprofit organizations
* Voting rights

Bring your bylaws and articles of incorporation; time permitting, the instructor will review them.
