Nonprofit Boot Camp a Success!

The “Nonprofit Boot Camp” presented by the Center for Nonprofit Management with the support of the Southern California Gas Company and Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina hosted more than 50 individuals representing more than 40 organizations on Tuesday, July 29th. The day-long session was designed to help grassroots nonprofit organizations improve their communities by improving themselves.

Hub Cities One-Stop Center in Huntington Park played host to the Boot Camp.

Fundraising Academy for Communities of Color 2010

Apply now through November 13th. 

If selected, your organization will need to pay a participant fee of $500 - $2,000 based on the size of your annual budget. Aprox 10% of the cost of the program.

The Center for Nonprofit Management is excited to host the Fundraising Academy for Communities of Color, a seven month skills building program for people of color led nonprofits focused upon donor development within a multicultural learning setting.  Offered by CompassPoint Nonprofit Services and the Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training (GIFT) , the academy includes dynamic training, one on one coaching and peer learning in the key strategies of donor development.

The academy has helped over 75 people of color led nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area to raise the funds they need in a more sustainable way, through diversifying sources and building strong relationships with community donors. Through the generous support of the California Community Foundation and other sponsors, an academy will be offered locally by CompassPoint and GIFT at the Center for Nonprofit Management beginning in January 2010.
