Our Leadership Initiatives are special events throughout the year for senior executives from the thousands of nonprofit organizations throughout Southern CA's five counties. The sessions provide executives, senior staff and board members with the opportunity to reflect and think about deeper issues around their organization's mission.

Professional Development for Nonprofit Consultants

The Center for Nonprofit Management is pleased to offer professional development opportunities for trainers and consultants in Los Angeles County who work with nonprofit organizations, specifically, communities of color. 

Strengthening Communities Initiative for Eastern LA County, South LA and Asian Communities around Downtown LA

CNM will be heading your way to provide the latest management strategies and the most relevant resources available for staff and board members interested in leading more impactful nonprofit organizations. These multi-part sessions will provide an opportunity for staff to build a local peer support network as you work with colleagues and our instructors to solve your most pressing management issues.

SCI - Nonprofit "Boot Camp"

Up to 12 organizations in each targeted area - Eastern LA County, South LA and Asian Communities around Downtown LA - will be selected to participate in this four-part "Boot Camp".

Eligibility

• 501c3 Organization
• Based in/or serving one of the targeted areas
• Health or Human Services Organization
• Executive Directer and one board member must committ to participate
• Must committ to attend all 4 sessions in your community

SCI - Executive Roundtables

Leaders from the organizations that are part of the overall Initiative will be encouraged to attend monthly Executive Roundtables in each of the identified geographic areas.  Topics will be determined by the nonprofit leaders and each group will select two Roundtable Co-chairs from among their ranks.  The goal is to create on-going peer support systems in each of the three areas that will continue beyond the Initiative period.  We will promote cross-pollination between the cohorts and encourage members to attend any of the three Roundtables according to whatever topic is of greatest interest at that moment.
